Je Suis. PARIS Announces the 2013 Schedule for Its Luxury Women’s Tour

Luxury travel innovator Je Suis. PARIS has announced its 2013 schedule for its luxury tours curated exclusively for women only.
Fort Lauderdale, FL, July 24, 2012 --( Je Suis. PARIS is pleased to announce its 2013 schedule for its bespoke exclusive luxury tours for women. Spotlighting the best of fashion, beauty, gastronomy, wine, art, history and joie de vivre Paris has to offer; Je Suis. PARIS guests will be lavished in unadulterated splendor every step of the way.

The 2013 schedule begins on April 27th with the first of its illustriously curated eight night tours. Subsequent dates follow in early June, late July, mid October and late November. These tour dates provide a similar offering as those of its highly successful debut 2012 season. “We’re excited about the release of the 2013 schedule,” said Sandra Ayala, Director of European Tourism. “We received a wonderful response to the 2012 inaugural season and look forward to further accommodating this demand with the 2013 schedule and beyond.”

With its catchy slogan “Celebrate Yourself In The City That Celebrates Women,” and focusing on its signature travel style of “traveling with friends” versus on a escorted tour; Je Suis. PARIS limits participants to 10 guests per departure. “By traveling on groups that are more intimate, guests are able to discover some of the most interesting areas of Paris that are inaccessible to larger tour operators,” says President and CEO, Raquel Segura. “Each day offers complete immersion into the local culture through experiences such as a simple Armagnac tasting in an obscure wine shop to extravagant celebrations fit for Royalty,” adds Segura.

Je Suis. PARIS has been spotlighted and featured in several publications, radio shows and most recently on the nationally syndicated Daily Buzz Morning Show.

Alexandre de Paris F/W2012 – 2013

[Hong Kong, 3 August, 2012] Fall/Winter a season in the fashion world that sees the effortless and fluid transition from Spring/Summer. The Alexandre de Paris F/W2012 – 2013 Collection whilst embracing its core heritage values and uncompromised quality introduces 6 types of modern luxury, celebrating the epiphany of the many facets of “luxury” women can play with. Depending on your mood, occasion or journey there will be something to suit every woman for the cooler season.

Fundamental Luxury
Inspired and influenced by the blending and overlapping of minimalist art patterns. Shapes are pure to place emphasis on the basic optical patterns influenced by a simplistic flow – clean and natural hues enable for an everyday minimalistic look.
Chic Luxury
For the style savvy and fashion conscious – the professional working woman, discreet yet assertive with a punch of vivaciousness. This range seamlessly accentuates the perfect female silhouette encasing an ideal balance between elegance, power and refined chic.

Absolute Luxury
This collection plays with the epitome of luxury, adorned with crystals and intricate almost sensual lace prints. For the more sophisticated woman, glowing with a mystical aura, captivating and provocative. Possessing a sense of unmistakable alluring attraction, that somehow also nestles on the boundaries between classic and seductive.

Radical Luxury
Challenging the blending and contrast of steel and concrete, metallic bronzes and greys with a hint of cubist accents gives this collection its modern touch. Neither harsh nor cold but tastefully combined hinting at a subtly feisty futuristic statement.

Ethereal Luxury
Capture winter warmth with the fresh floral distant reminiscence of Spring – romantic and nostalgic, a light dreamy collection. Feminine pastels that dabble with shades of powdery pinks, warm rose and luscious lavenders. Ideal for those that dream of winter wonderland frolics.
Imperial Luxury
An eccentric fusion of cultures interweaving to unravel an extravagant cocktail of Orient heritage “meets” glamour. A palette of rich luxury winter-safe shades of plum and crimson with dashings of gold, separating the rags from the riches.

The Fall-Winter 2012-2013 Collection will be available in-store from the beginning of August 2012. Come discover the other collections available at the Alexandre de Paris Store, Pacific Place.

Septembre 2012 show: 32 new exhibitors join Première Vision, show’s numbers continue to rise.

Première Vision continues to grow. Despite the economic decline in Europe, exhibitor figures are up for the second edition of 2012 (Wednesday 19 to Friday 21 September 2012 ). With three months still to go, 717 companies are confirmed to take part in the World’s Premier Fabric Show, topping the September 2011 total. Remarkably all the Première Vision SA shows are displaying the same upward trend: Expofil, 51 exhibitors, Indigo, 190 exhibitors, ModAmont, 295 exhibitors.
The weavers, who will be presenting their collections for autumn winter 2013-14, now count 32 new exhibitors from all style universes among their ranks. Of particular note is the return of Tejidos Royo, a major denim specialist from Spain, after an absence of several sessions. Like all the companies exhibiting at Première Vision, newcomers were admitted by decision of the Selection Committee. The committee is comprised of international experts and weavers, who weigh each application according to very stringent criteria taking into account each company’s creativity, the quality of their services and their financial viability.

Ragne Kikas wins the Première Vision Prize

Hyères Festival 2012

Sunday April 29, 6:30 pm. The Jury, presided over by Yohji Yamamoto, reward the winner of the Première Vision Prize:
Ragne Kikas, a young Estonian designer based in Hamburg (Germany), has won one of four Prizes attributed in the Fashion Competition of the Hyères International Festival of Fashion and Photography.
Ragne Kikas has also been rewarded with the Public Prize of the City of Hyères.
Selected from among ten finalists, Ragne Kikas offers her vision of the radical. She takes inspiration from 15th and 16th Century armour, whose inflexible and angular shapes she translates into knits, her preferred medium. Each silhouette must be a new sculptural enigma, both evident and impenetrable at the same time.
The collection was produced with the support of Première Vision, ModAmont and Expofil: Close to Clothes, Eclair Prym Belgium S.A., and Tearfil Textile Yarns.
This is the second year in a row that Première Vision, the World’s Premier Fabric ShowTM, has partnered with the Hyères Festival and sponsored one of its prizes, in the amount of 10,000 euros. But the Première Vision Prize goes beyond the awarding of the prize money to the winning young designer.
Première Vision, whose vocation is to strengthen contacts between professionals in these most creative fields, is fully committed to this programme to support young design talents, and to building a long-term relationship.
Thus, well ahead of the Prize itself, Première Vision accorded a special welcome to the ten finalists at the February 2012 show. This allowed these young talents to forge direct contacts with exhibiting spinners, weavers, and accessories manufacturers.
Next 11 and 12 July, at Première Vision Preview New York, Ragne Kikas is invited to present her work to the press and other North American fashion professionals.
The following step will takes place in Paris: Ragne Kikas, during the Première Vision Pluriel shows (19-21 September 2012), will be a member of the Jury of the PV Awards on September 21. It will also be the occasion to show her work to the 55,000 industry professionals from more than 100 countries that visit Première Vision Pluriel each season.
